GOC honours Ashwarya Laxmi 8th Class student Army Public School for her meritorious services
Ferozepur, April 29,2015 : Today, General Officer Commnading (GOC) personally honoured Ashwarya Laxmi, 8th class student of Army Public School for her meritorious services. She was the first to immediately inform army on seeing the broke out of fire in the Army Furniture Yard of the Military Engineerng Service (MES) in the Ferozepur Cantonment, on Monday evening, at about 5.40PM.
It may be mentioned that immediately on getting the information about the incident, the entire area was cordoned off by the police and hundreds of army men and fire tenders struggled to control the fire in about two hours. The goods lying in the EME yard were also saved.
GOC personally honoured Ashwarya for her alterness and by visiting the school.
The father of Ashwarya Subedar Santosh – is also posted in Ferozepur Cantonment – appreciating her daughter was feeling proud of her quickness in informing the army authorities about the broke out of fire in the campus.
