Gandhi Jayanti celebrations at Shanti Vidya Mandir
Ferozepur, October 3, 2019: Gandhi Jayanti on the 150th birthday of Mahatama Gandhi – Father of the Nation – was celebrated at Shanti Vidya Mandir School.
A cultural program on the life of Gandhi was presented under the tutelage of Managing Committee members and Principal Rajni Madahar, besides holding various competitions – debate, quiz, bhajan etc in which the students participated with great enthusiasm.
Apart from this, the cleanliness campaign was also started on the school campus and each one contributed to this Swachh Bharat Mission.
Kulbhushan Garg, Chairman, said, the term Non-violence and Mahatma Gandhi are synonyms as Bapu is widely known for his doctrine of Non-violence and establishing massive movements based upon this idea.
Principal Rajni Madhar said, we should give priority to work with our hands, which gives pleasures to us and we should follow the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi.
