Firing at jewelers’ shop in Ferozepur, shopkeeper injured
Ferozepur, November 11, 2020: An incident of firing at jewelers’ shop in the city has been reported injuring one person, who was immediately shifted to Civil hospital.
As per the information, two masked robbers today attacked Vijay Jewelers shop at Ramanand Gali in Van Bazar and opened fire with the aim to rob the shopkeeper. Jeweler Tarun Gupta was injured in the shooting who was admitted to Civil Hospital Ferozepur for treatment.
As soon as the information was received, police officials rushed to the spot and the incident is being investigated. Instantly, the motive behind the finding could not be ascertained.
Advocate Tarun Jindal, a relative of the victim, said that today morning at around 10.30 am, masked robbers, came to Vijay Jewelers’ shop and started talking about buying jewelry. As soon as Tarun went inside to show him the gold jewelry, he fired a shot that hit Tarun in the thigh and fled away. The police is investigating by scrutiny the CCTV cameras to identify the attackers.
He said the robbers had fled and police were digging up nearby CCTV cameras.
