Ferozepur’s daily Covid cases sink below 50 on 4^th day

Ferozepur, June 16, 2021: On the fourth day, the number of Covid-19 positive cases has been reported less than 50 as today only 38 new cases were reported with three deaths and 45  recoveries

Covid relaxation has been announced but people must continue to follow the Covid appropriate behavior for self safety and for others also and avoid creating crowd, said a senior health official.

As per the report, 1,94,567 samples were taken in the district, out of which 1,66,814 were tested negative, 13,779 positive, 12,885 recovered, 451 active cases.

With reporting of three deaths of the age group of 50 to 63, two male and one female, the tally of the district is now 441.

With the withdrawal of certain containment and micro-containment, as of now, one containment zone at Guruharsahai and 24 micro-containment – 4 Mamdot, 8 Guruharsahi, 1 Ferozshah, 9 Kassoana, 2 Ferozepur Urban are under close observation of the health department and samplings are going on.

There is no new Black Fungus case reported and earlier ten cases have been reported in the district, out of which, with seven under treatment in the hospitals, 2 cured and one dead. There have been no new cases during the last five days.

So far vaccination drive is concerned, only 13.8 percent of the 10 lac population of the district have been vaccinated, out of which 12.1 percent is first dose. Only 694 persons were given Covid vaccine today making the total as on date to 1,39,799 persons including the frontline and health workers.
