Ferozepur uses ‘graffiti art’ to promote ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ movement
Ferozepur, May 30, 2019: Deputy Commissioner, Chander Gaind with a vision to give a new face lift to the city, has launched a special initiative to promote ‘Beti bachao, Beti Padhao’ campaign as a mass movement through ‘graffiti art’ which is getting a huge response from various quarters.
Railway Over Bridge, Railway Underpass, Mall Road, a corner in the DAC complex, has been decorated with graffiti in such a way that it catches the fancy of every passerby.
Photographs of the girls who have excelled in education and profession made a part of graffiti art on the railway bridges with different colours messages on ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ convey the message that daughters can touch any height of success in their lives. The messages also emphasise that girls should also have equal rights in society so that they can lead from the front.
Deputy Commissioner, Chander Gaind said these graffities are graved with motivational slogans. I hope the parents of daughters could learn from these motivational and inspiring graffities and make their daughters go for higher education after the primary and high school education.
Since thousands of commuters pass by from the common places where the graffiti art has been displayed, they must be getting inspiration from these initiatives, said DC.
Gaind also said, it is the basic duty of every citizen to provide a peaceful environment for daughters in the society and graffiti art will definitely motivate the girls to face any kind of situation in their lives.
He asserted that daughters of the country have already excelled and established their identities in various streams and serving at honourable posts within the country and abroad.
Sharing the famous words by someone, Chander Gaind said, if one daughter is educated in a family, she can educate the several members of a family and if all daughters take a pledge to educate themselves, imagine the number of people they could educate in their lives.
