Ferozepur police solves blind murder of father and step-mother
Killing by hired men to grab property
FEROZEPUR, AUGUST 4: ;Ferozepur police claimed to have solved a blind murder case which took place few months ago at Village Hajara Singh Wala, Mamdot in Ferozepur and have arrested five persons including the master mind Gurnam Singh, who had paid ransom (Supari) to kill his father and step-mother.
While giving details about the incident, Hardyal Singh Mann, SSP, Ferozepur said that on 13th June 2015,Mohinder Kaur wife of Pyara Singh, resident of Village Hajara Singh wala was brutally murdered by some unidentified assailants. The SSP said that the assailants also tried to kill her husband Pyara Singh by electrocuting him and left him unconscious considering dead. The assailants also robbed Rs. 18,000 cash and gold items from their house.
Later a case was registered at Mamdot Police station (Case Number 73 Dated 14.06.2015) and the culprits were under sections 302/307/380/323/120-B. The SSP said a special team under SP (D) Amarjit Singh was constituted. During the investigation the needle of suspicion tilted towards Gurnam Singh, step-son of the deceased Mohinder Kaur. During investigation, Gurnam Singh accepted his crime and revealed that he had paid ransom (supari) to Balkar Singh son of Sucha Singh, resident of Village Habib Wala who killed Mohinder Kaur with the help of Pippal Singh, Balwinder Singh, Makhan Singh.
The SSP said that a payment of Rs. 20,000 was made in advance. “Their motive was to kill both husband wife, but somehow Pyara Singh’s life was saved”, said SSP.
The police have also recovered two sharp edged weapons and gold items which these miscreants had stolen.
