Ferozepur police registered 19 cases against 45 cheaters involving Rs.2.38 cr
Ferozepur, June 30, 2024: As many as, 19 cases have been registered on a single day in Ferozepur under Section 420 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) of 1860 at different police stations in the district involving Rs.2,38,82,972 of different nature cheating against 45 cheaters.
Section 420 deals with cheating and dishonestly inducing someone to give up property. It’s a serious form of cheating that includes inducement, or leading someone to do something, in terms of property or valuable securities.
The cases have been registered at Ferozepur City, Cantt, Mamdot, Talwandi Bhai, Zira, Makhnu, Mallanwala, and Guruharsahai police stations.
The nature of cheating is – taking money for sending the children abroad, for supply substandard materials, getting a loan from SBI, getting employment in the Railway, Police, sale of land despite a court case, posting as ASI and arranging bank transfer, jobs in police under sports quota, against purchase of feed and not making payment, for sending Canada, for arranging loan with new zamabandi, on line Google Pay, purchase trolla, for sending US, embezzlement of 900 paddy bags, and for arranging loan.
No arrest has so far been made in any of the cases and the cases are under investigation.
