Ferozepur police solve murder mystery, held due for murder
Ferozepur, September 4, 2024: In a recent operation, the Firozpur police have successfully apprehended two individuals accused of murdering their brother-in-law. The accused, Ram Singh and his brother Avatar Singh were arrested in connection with the death of Inderjit Singh, who was reported missing on August 24, 2024.
According to police investigations, Inderjit Singh was opposed to his sister-in-law Pooja’s extramarital affair with Ram Singh. The duo allegedly conspired to kill Inderjit Singh, bludgeoning him to death and then disposing of his body in a canal.
The police launched an investigation after Pooja reported Inderjit Singh missing. During questioning, her lies and inconsistencies raised suspicions. Upon further probe, her illicit relationship with Ram Singh came to light.
Ram Singh, who had been residing in Qatar for several years, arrived in India on August 21, 2024. He and Pooja hatched the murder plot and executed it on the night of August 21. The following day, they concealed the body in a plastic bag and dumped it in a canal near Kohala village.
The police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. They are continuing their investigation to recover the victim’s body and gather further evidence.
