Ferozepur Police bust gang of vehicle lifters, arrest four
Ferozepur, October 13, 2020: On Tuesday, the Ferozepur police claimed to have busted a gang of vehicle lifter with the arrest of three members of the gang and recovery of 36 bikes from their possession. The accused used to seal bikes from different places and used to park at the non-operating brick kiln.
Speaking to the media persons, Bhupinder Singh, SSP said, CIA staff under the supervision of Mukhtiar Rai, SP(I) along with Inspector Balwant Singh in charge CIA and his team members, has done a commendable job of busting the gang of vehicle lifters by swiftly working on the in-puts.
He said a tip-off was received by the police from its sources that Avtar Singh alias Tari of Kutbgarh Bhata is the king-pin of the vehicle lifting gang being run along with his two accomplices Amarjit Singh alias Doctor of Gudar Pnj Graen Kulwinder Singh of Nanakpura and Gurvinder Singh of Khera Ke Uttar, Guruaharsahai in Ferozepur.
All the four accused have been arrested from the abandoned brick kiln of Sukhraj Singh former Sarpanch of Khai PLheme Ki, with 36 bikes of different brands from their possession. The investigations are on after registration of cases under Sections 379, 411, 413 of IPC and more incidents of vehicle lifting are likely to come on the surface with special focus on the contacts of its further sale, said SSP.
SSP said the people should come forward to give inputs to the police, without any inhibition, for quick action by keeping intact the identity of the informer.
