Ferozepur: Municipal Council distributes plants, organic manure to make ‘Green City’
Ferozepur July 28, 2021 – In a unique initiative, Ferozepur Municipal Council distributed 200 plants and 200 bags of organic manure free of cost in the city.
As per the direction of Mr. Ferozepur Urban MLA Mr. Parminder Singh Pinki, to keep the city of Ferozepur green, the Municipal Council Ferozepur under the leadership of Mr. Rinku Grover, President Municipal Council and Mr. Gurdas Singh, Executive Officer planted a plant langar outside the Municipal Council Park.
During the program, about 200 different types of plants were distributed free of cost to the people of the city and also 200 bags of compost to the environment lovers, who have made pots, plants or gardens in their homes.
Rinku Grover, President, Ferozepur Municipal Council and Gurdas Singh, Executive Officer, Ferozepur Municipal Council said that it is very important to keep our environment clean and hygienic. This can only happen if we plant as many trees as possible. He said that it was the duty of all of us to take care of the existing plants and plant new ones besides we should take care of them seeing grown up.
