Fazilka : Counter Intelligence cops nabbed 2 smugglers with recovery of 15 kg heroin, Rs.29.50 lac drug money
Ferozepur/Fazilka, October 13, 2023: The Fazilka Counter Intelligence staff, in a special drive against drug smugglers under directions of DGP Internal Security Punjab R.N.Dhoke under the tutelage of Lakhbir Singh, AIG CI Ferozepur, arrested two smugglers with recovery of 15 kg heroin and Rs.29.50 lac as drug money.
Divulging with details, Lakhbir Singh, AIG CI said, during special operation, the Police Party of SSOC (State Special Operation Cell) Fazilka had arrested one Indian smuggler named as Pritam Singh of village Mohar Jamsher with one tractor Sonalika bearing number PB-11-Y-6879 and trolley. During the search, 10 packets of Heroin weighing 15 kg, were recovered from the trolley, concealed under the straw loaded in the trolley.
However, sis two associates were able to escape at the spot, who have been identified as Gurmeet Singh of Kharas Walia in Fazilka, who is son-in-law of Pritam Singh and Kaushalya Bai, wife of Pritam Singh.
He further said, acting upon the tips disclosed in the investigation of said case, one accused Satokh Singh who is son of above Pritam Singh, has been apprehended by SSOC Fazilka from Rajasthan and on his demarcation, Rs. 2,50,000/- drug money was recovered from his new house under construction at village Dhani Kharas Wali in Fazilka.
In the meanwhile, the another son of above said Pritam Singh named as Harmesh Singh @ Meshi has been apprehended by SSOC Fazilka from surrounding area of Guruharsahai in Ferozepur district and on his demarcation, Rs.27 lacs of Drug money was recovered from the house of his brother in law Gurmeet Singh co-accused in this case.
It is pertinent to mention here that total 15 kgs of Heroin, Rs.29,50,000/-Drug money has been recovered in this case along with the arrest of three accused. The arrest of Gurmeet Singh and Kushalya Bai is pending in this case. However, the investigation of this case is going on.
