Ferozepur, November 24,2020: The railway has expressed its inability to run the trains in view of still blockade of tracks by the farmers, said V.P.Singh, Additional Divisional Rail Manager (ADRM) while speaking on the latest status of running of trains.
As per the information, the railway has informed the headquarters and is likely to take a final decision in this regard.
He said, after assurance from the state government, the railways have resumed the train services but the farmers again blocked the railway track today morning at around 3 am and halted at Jandiala Guru and the same has to be diverted via Beas, TarnTaran.
Another train is also halted at Dagra railway station as the track has not been cleared by the farmers. Earlier they had given the indication to stop the passenger trains only but now they are not clearing the tracks to run the goods trains.
Farmers are now saying that they will first see the train and only on assuring that it is goods train will allow to ply and in such a situation, it is not possible to run the trains, said V.P.Singh.
