Employees shift style of protest from burning Punjab Govt.’s “Effigy” to “Bundle of Liars”

Ferozepur, September 8, 2016:  Come elections and the employees gear up the agitations to register their protest for the various demands but now they have shifted the way of protesting from burning Punjab Government’s “Effigy to a ‘Bundle of Liars”.

First such protest was seen when Class IV government employees led by Kala Singh, District President and Ram Avtar, General Secretary, burn the ‘Bundle of Liars” – of false promises and anti-employees letters – by the Punjab Government during the last more than nine year’s tenure.

Addressing the protesters of Class IV employees of various government departments, Kala Singh and Ram Avtar said, in case their demands are not accepted by the Badal government, the agitation will be intensified.  The demands include regularizations of temporary employees, scrapping the contract system, withdrawing of new pension scheme and introducing new pension scheme, release of arrears of DA installment and January 2016.
