Eight-days ‘Induction Training’ newly recruited teachers conclude
Ferozepur, March 30, 2021: The eight-day long induction training to the newly recruited English and Social Studies teachers belonging to the 3704 segments was concluded at the Government Senior Secondary Smart School for Boys, Ferozepur here today in which as many as 23 teachers participated in the training.
The teams of 11 block mentors led by District mentor (DM) English Gurwinder Singh imparted training on various topics to the teachers under the banner of Parho Punjab, Parhao Punjab (PPPP). The teachers were given in-depth training about various ongoing projects and programs in the education department.
District Education Officer for Secondary Education, Kulwinder Kaur, said that the training imparted by the dedicated PPPP team will go a long way in achieving long-term success for these teachers. The induction training has been planned in such a way that these newly recruited teachers should get first-hand knowledge of the subtle nuances of the teaching profession.
The training sessions focused on learning various online apps projects like Diksha, Educare, Zoom Meet, Buddy’s Groups, English Booster Clubs, NAS, PAS, NTSE, Udaan and Word of the Day. Besides, various professional teaching methodologies like classroom instructions, role play, listening and speaking skills, new techniques in history, geography and civics, discussion, declamation, writing skills, teaching vocabulary and grammar, organizing SST/English fairs, map activities, creating Google forms and expertise in MS Office were also included in the training.
DM Gurwinder Singh while lauding the zeal among the newly inducted teachers said that the teachers learned each point with keen interest and they participated in each activity energetically. Besides, the professional aspects, our team also dwelt upon ethics and morals which make teaching a unique profession in the world.
Veerpal Kaur, who completed this eight-day training, hailed the efforts put by the PPPT team for ensuring inculcation of each aspect with full professional attitude.
