Dy.Speaker Bhatti offers floral tributes at Martyrs Memorial Hussainiwala
Firozpur September 28, 2017 : The Punjab Government will celebrate the birth anniversary of Shaheed Bhagat Singh from the next year as a state level function and this will be announced soon by Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh.
This was disclosed by Deputy Speaker of Punjab Vidhan Sabha, Ajaib Singh Bhatti, on his visit to Ferozepur in connection with the 110th birthday celebrations of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, addressing the media persons, at the residence of Parminder Singh Pinki, MLA Ferozepur.
Ajaib Singh Bhatti said that the Punjab government is fully committed to realize the dreams of martyrs and the government will plan special schemes for the development of all categories including farmers, laborers, businessmen, employees in the coming time.
He said, he will soon meet the Chief Minister along with Pinkil to demand the celebration of martyr Bhagat Singh as a state level function and the Chief Minister will announce this very soon.
He also announced a grant of Rs 1 lakh to the martyr Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, Sukhdev Memorial Society by the Punjab government.
Speaking on this occasion, MLA Parminder Singh Pinki said that no stone would be left to develop Firozpur as a tourist center at international level.
He said that the Punjab government would give a special place to this historic city in its tourism policy and Cabinet Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu has announced this as well.
He said that for the first time the Saragarhi day has been celebrated as a state level function by the Punjab government and a state level function would be held at Hussainiwala on the birthday of Shaheed Bhagat Singh from next year. Also.
Talking about the pending project of PGI Satellite Centre in this border town, he said PGI at Ferozepur Satellite center will commence soon after completing the required formalities.
He also said that the farmers will not be given face any problem during the current paddy procurement season.
Present among others were Inderjit Singh Zira, Former Minister, Chamkaur Singh Dhindsa, District Congress Committee, Ramvir Deputy Commissioner, Bhupinder Singh Sidhu, SSP and a large number of leaders and officials while presenting the floral tributes to the martyrs at Hussainiwala Shaheedi Memorial.
On the way, Deputy Speaker also attended the motor cycle march by Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, Sukhdev Society and other organizations and appreciated their work.
To pay floral tributes to the martyrs the motor cycle journey of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Rajguru, Sukhdev Society and other organizations was started from Gurdwara Saragarhi and ended at Hussainiwala. Principal uUnder the leadership of Dr. Satinder Singh National Awardee, a cyclist of 100 students from Gatti Rajo.
