During Anti-Narcotics Operation, BSF apprehends one Pak smuggler with heroin
Ferozepur, September 2,2021: During Anti-Narcotics Operation, BSF troops apprehended one Pak smuggler with heroin, on intervening night of September 1-2, 2021, along with two packets of suspected Heroin in the AOR of Ferozepur Sector.
During this operation the alert troops in a coordinated manner were successful in nabbing a smuggler, who intruded through the International Border and was injured. Injured Pak smuggler has been evacuated to Civil Hospital, Ferozepur. Initial Searches has led to seizure of 2 packets of suspected Heroin (Total weight – 2.124 Kg). The nabbingof the Intruder from Pakistan side is a great achievement and will be very useful in finding the involvement of traffickers of the Indian side and their cross-border linkages.
Entire operation was carried out for 5 hours and search is still in progress. Protest is being lodged with Pak Rangers.
It was a well planned and coordinated effort by BSF against drug traffickers.
