Drum beat and IEC campaign about Malaria flagged off

Ferozepur, July 3, 2017:  To create awareness about malaria symptoms and preventing measures through the proclamation by beat of drum and information, education and communication – IEC campaign was flagged off by the health department in different parts of the city.

Dr.Nikhil under the able guidance of Dr.Gurminder Singh, Civil Surgeon Feroepur today flagged off the rikshaw fitted with sound system which will pass through the bazaars and mohallas to create awareness among the residents to keep their surroundings neat and clean and ensure there is standing water to stop the growth of mosquitoes.

Dr. Nikhil advised that in the event of shivering with high fever, the patient must get himself checked up immediately from the nearest Civil Hospital or dispensary where the tests are available free of cost.

He said, prevention is better than  cure and every citizen should follow this to remain healthy and to keep healthy others also.
