Dr.Shamsher Singh Sandhu Senator gets warm welcome at Ferozepur
Only feedback of ground realities can bring efficiency in our education system: Dr.Sandhu
Ferozepur, October 20, 2016 : Dr.Shaminder Singh Sandhu was given a warm welcome on his maiden visit to Ferozepur after elected as Senator of Punjab University, to convey his thanks to the voters and supporters at the local Chandan Palace on Thursday by Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, Sukhdev Memorial Society.
In a simple and impressive ceremony, Jaswinder Singh Sandhu welcomed Dr.Shaminder Singh Sandhu and later garlanded by the members.
Dr.Shaminder Singh Sandhu has a rural background of village Kamal Wala and he was the first Phd. Followed by five more on getting inspiration from him.
Presently, Sandhu is working as Lecturer in Physics at DAV College, Chandigarh.
Dr.Sandhu was honoured by the Society members with presentation of bouquet, siropa and Souvenir as token of love and memory.
While conveying his thanks to the voters and supporters, Dr.Sandhu assured to take up the suitable steps to reform the education system.
When any distinction is conferred upon someone, it puts a more responsibility on him to justify the same and he is fully aware of the problems in education sector and it will be his first priority as a Senator of Punjab University, he added.
Still a lot has to be done, for quality education and to take it to the international level and I will try to take up the issues in the Senate sessions of 91 members Think Tank, he asserted during my four years tenure.
He said, there is a need to create awareness among the youths to choose the right path after the school pass-out by creating special cells at the University level.
He also requested the present to give him a feedback of ground realities, for taking up any issue at the University level to bring efficiency in our education system.
