Dr.H.C.Modi former Distt. & Sessions Judge  visits Ferozepur on completion of his career

Ferozepur, May 1, 2015: A judge is a judge for files only, however, he is adjudged by the society for his every action, what so ever may be”, were the words of Dr. H C Modi, former District and Sessions Judge, who along with his wife, Sudarshan Modi, also a former District and Sessions Judge, delivered on their visit to Ferozepur.

It is pertinent to mention here that Dr. Modi had joined the judicial service as a Magistrate in Ferozepur and had come back to Ferozepur on completion of his career.

During an interaction with the media persons he said that I have a special place in my heart for Ferozepur and I am feeling very happy to be here. Dr. Modi also delivered the valuable suggestions and shared his experience of judicial service and the experiences after his retirement in the presence of Vivek Puri, learned District and Sessions Judge, Ferozepur and other Judicial officers of Ferozepur.

Dr. Modi also donated a cheque of Rs. 51,000/-  to the District Legal Services Authority, Ferozepur. it is worth mentioning here that even after the retirement, the couple (Dr. Modi and his wife) are actively involved in the settlement of dispute through mediation.
