DPS organizes public speaking contest on “Rights & Duties”

Rights cannot exist without Duties, said DPS faculty

Ferozepur, September 3, 2016: DPS, Ferozepur organized a Public Speaking contest on ‘Rights and Duties’ on 3rd September, 2016 for the senior wing  in the school campus.

Public speaking is a vital skill to have and to hone and it helps in motivating and informing the crowd.

Each of the four houses of school: Ravi, Sutluj, Ganges and Chenab had two participants, one spoke on the Rights and the other spoke on Duties. Two winners from each, Rights and Duties were announced on the basis of varied judgement criterion by the judges Ms.Aakriti and Mrs.Ekta Walia.

In her address to the students, Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Rakesh Sachdeva, highlighed the importance of basic expectations i.e; Rights and restrictions i.e; Duties of an individual and also asked them to adhere to them.

The speeches promoted a spirit of oneness of India and a lesson for everyone from the speeches was that “Rights cannot exist without Duties”.
