Don’t be satisfied with downward graph of Corona+ve cases but all safety precautions: DC

Ferozepur, October 24, 2020:  With one death and seven coronavirus cases reported on Saturday in the district, Deputy Commissioner Ferozepur said that we should not be satisfied with flattening virus curve with the downward trend of the graph rather maintaining this status is more important by following the medical protocols like wearing mask, hand washing and social distance at the crowded places.

To keep a check over the further transmission of Covid-19 infection, regular testing is going on in the district and 449 samples were taken for testing, said DC Gurpal Singh Chahal.

As per the information, 50,965 samples have so far been taken for testing in the district since the outbreak of coronavirus.  Out of this 46,800 have been tested as negative, 4,154 as positive, and 3,893 as recovered leaving 140 active corona cases.  However, there had been 121 deaths including one of today of 65 years old male of Makhu.

DC also advised the health department to keep up with the intensive sampling and called upon people to come forward for Covid-19 testing and follow all safety precautions.
