Focus on encouraging & appreciating the children instead on their negatives: Principal

Ferozepur, April 24, 2015: Delhi Public School, Ferozepur – on Ferozepur-Faridkot Road – held its first Orientation Programme for the new parents. The parents and the children were welcomed whole heartedly into the DPS family.

The programme began with the Lamp Lighting Ceremony amidst eminent guests namely Dr. Mrs. Rajinder Sooch, Pro Vice Chairperson, DPS Ferozepur, Mrs. Anu Ahuja, Member/Advisor, Mr. Surinderpal Singh Sooch, Secretary, Mr. Sanjay Ahuja, Member/ Advisor, Principal Ms. Ikwinder S. Singh and the first four sets of parents to have come in that day were invited to do the honours by lighting the lamp.

The address by Mrs. Ikwinder S. Singh, Principal, DPS, Ferozepur informed the parents about the inception of Delhi Public School dating back to 1947. She also requested the parents to focus on encouraging and appreciating the children instead of focusing on the negatives.

Mrs. Anju Rajput and Mrs. Rani Poddar, the Academic Coordinators gave an insight into the working culture of Delhi Public Schools. They also oriented the parents towards a better understanding and handling of their children.

The teachers of Delhi Public School gave the parents short demos about the Child Centric and Hands On Activity mode of teaching in DPS. The children accompanying their parents joined the teachers on stage. It was fun to watch them dance to music with their Physical Instructor, from Leap Start of Fitkids.

We are eagerly looking forward to a successful session with our children. The session commenced on 15th April 2015, with a loud applause of GET…… SET……. GO!, said the Principal.
