Ferozepur, April 8, 2018:  With a view to strengthening the hands of party supremo, Dalit Kranti Dal Punjab, led by Lal Singh Sulhani, President along with his members today merged with the Bahujan Samaj Party – BSP.

This was disclosed by Rachhpal Singh Raju, State President, Punjab addressing the media persons at a press conference at Press Club, Ferozepur.

Addressing the media persons, Raju said, BSP is working at the root level by dividing Punjab into five Zones and today nominated Lal Singh Sulhani Zone Incharge of Ferozepur Zone. The party base was growing in the State and the people of different sections were getting attracted towards the party and its ideology of providing a clean, transparent, accountable and corruption-free government in the state.

Condemning the indifferent attitude of the Congress government in Punjab on Bharat Bandha on April 2, Raju said, on the one hand, the Chief Minister has given a statement that the agitation was peaceful in the state where on the very next day, police cases – without mentioning of any specific name – have been registered against the unidentified persons.

Raju said, in case all such cases are not withdrawn, the BSP workers will again resort to agitation.

He said, the action of the Centre government led by Modi for diluting the SC/ST Act is not appreciated and atrocities on Dalits are condemned.

In reply to the query about the coming Lok Sabha elections in 2019, he said, BSP will put its claim on all the 13 seats in the State and our party will make the government in 2019 and save the provisions of the Constitution.  The Mandal Commission report will also be implemented, he added.

About the election manifesto, Raju said, we don’t believe in election manifestos rather in showing by doing.
