Cyber mafia withdraws amount from Colonel’s account

Ferozepur, August 6, 2017:  “Is Col. Sahib speaking? We are speaking from abroad. Your account could be closed. What is your Credit Card code? Please give your credit code.” This was the conversation, Col Ramesh Verma had with the unknown caller.

Trusting the caller from foreign, Col a resident of Ferozepur Cantonment, disclosed the number and after few minutes, 250 Australian dollars and 2 American dollars were withdrawn from his account.

Divulging with the details, Col said, few days back a call from foreign was received by him account hackers, to keep safe your account from the when he disclosed the credit card code, the amount was withdrawn from his account.

On coming to know, he made a back call, he could not be contacted, added Col.

On his statement, the police have registered a case against the unknown person under Section 420 of IPC for cheating, said Mohinder Singh ASI who is investigating to the case.
