Crocodiles spotted for first time in Sutlej River, locals worried

Ferozepur, December 1, 2022: Two big crocodiles were spotted in Sutlej River in Ferozepur and the villagers residing in nearby villages and fishermen raised concern.

On spotting two crocodiles, the people of the surrounding area of Sutlej River are worried as crocodiles may not harm them. The fishermen fishing in the river said, we have seen two crocodiles and stopped fishing with an appeal to the Wildlife Department to catch them and release them in some deep areas. As per the reports, the crocodiles – of large size – were spotted crawling out of the river and seen roaming on a scrubby sand dune in the middle of the river.
