Residents of Dhawan Colony in Ferozepur banned the entry of outsiders
Amid curfew, citizens adopt self-preventive measures
Ferozepur, April 2, 2020: Amid curfew, in the wake of pandemic Covid-19, the citizens of certain colonies have started self-preventive measures, to ban the entry of outsiders in Dhawan Colony, by putting a barricade.
Sukhdev Gureja, a resident of Dhawan Colony Street number 6 said, it’s good so far there is no positive case in Ferozepur and if all the residents not only of Ferozepur but whole of India, following the curfew rules, to stay at home, can maintain the status of ‘no positive case’ and help in combating the spread of virus.
Initially, Prime Minister, Narendra Modi had called for citizen-led curfew in India, amid measures for coronavirus prevention besides putting at halt, the road, rail and air network to help to contain the spread of coronavirus. Even the religious places were closed with an advice to pray while sitting at home.
But still seeing the steps taken are not sufficient and the people are not responding to the serious call for curfew as is seen with the movement of various factory workers to their home town and participation of foreigners in the Tablighi Jammat who later on hospitalized for showing Covid-19 symptoms besides putting some under quarantine.
However, seeing the serious condition of spread of virus at the global level, we have taken the preventive measures, by closing the entry of any outsiders in the colony, said Gureja, adding rather we appeal to all the citizens to take self-preventive measures to win over the fight against coronavirus.
