Covid vaccination campaign gets momentum in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, January 18, 2021: The Covid vaccination recently launched in the country, got momentum in Ferozepur when today the first vaccination by the Civil Surgeon, Dr.Rajinder Raj.
Added here, in the first phase 6,200 doses have been received in Ferozepur and only two health workers were vaccinated on the first day at Zira. It is added that Ferozepur has witnessed 4,562 positive cases with 18 still active and 146 deaths since the outbreak of the corona pandemic.
As per the report, today the vaccine beneficiary were 21 at district civil hospital, 4 at SDH Zira, and one at CHC Guruharsahai.
The vaccination was followed by Deputy Medical Commissioner Dr.Rajinder Machanda, District Vaccinataion Officer Dr.Sapal Bhagat, PA Vikas Kalra, Dr.Naveen Sethi Dr.David, DrYuvraj Nagarn, Dr.Dipti Arora, Naresh Kumar Pharmacy Officer, Nursing Sister Renu besides medical and paramedical staff.
All were kept under observation for half and hour and all were fit and fine after the vaccination and there was no problem, said Dr.Rajinder Raj, Civil Surgeon.
He said, the vaccine is complete safe and proper cold chain is maintained as per the departmental guidelines.
Dr.Satpal Bhagat, DVO said, the vaccination has also been started at Zira, Guruharsahai apart from Civil Hospital Ferozepur. The first to receive the vaccination – Nursing Sister Renu and Vaccinator Sangeeta were facilitated with bouquet.
