Counter Intelligence foils heroin smuggling bid in Ferozepur, one held with 1 kg heroin
Ferozepur, September 17, 2023: The ongoing drive against drugs launched on the directions of SPL/DGP/Internal Security Punjab and ADGP Counter Intelligence Punjab, Counter Intelligence Ferozepur dealt a major blow to the drug smuggling after foiled a drug smuggling bid after recovering one kg of heroin, said AIG Counter Intelligence Ferozepur Lakhbir Singh here on Sunday.
AIG Counter Intelligence Ferozepur said that acting upon reliable input, SI Rajwant Singh, Counter Intelligence Ferozepur alongwith his team launched a special operation on September, 16 16-09 in the area of Village Nawa Killa District Ferozeur and recovered one kg heroin along with one motercycle Bullet bearing No. PB-05-AN-4662 from the possession of accused Tarsem Lal @ Sema s/o Sadeeq R/o Vill Nawa Killa, PS Lakho Ke Behram, Distt. Ferozepur, in the presence of Sh. Yadwinder Singh, PPS, DSP Sub Division Guruharsahai District Ferozepur.
An FIR No. 33 dated 16-09-2023 has been registered under sections 21(C), 25 of the NDPS Act, at Police Station SSOC Fazilka against Tarsem Lal @ Sema s/o Sadeeq R/o Vill Nawa Killa, PS Lakho Ke Behram, Distt. Ferozepur.
He will be produced before the Court to obtain his police remand, to reveal important disclosures from his interrogation, he said.
