Congress workers want Priyanka Gandhi to contest Lok Sabha elections from Ferozepur

Ferozepur January 29, 2019:  Congress workers in Ferozepur want newly appointed General Secretary in-charge of Uttar Pradesh East Priyanka Gandhi to contest from the border town Ferozepur – a land of martyrs.

Parminder Singh Pinky, Congress MLA Ferozepur through a video graphic message said, Ferozepur Congress Committee has unanimously passed a resolution demanding Priyanka Gandhi to contest Lok Sabha elections from Ferozepur.

After years of guessing, Priyanka finally decided to take the plunge into politics and speculations in the Congress circles is rife she will contest from her mother Sonia Gandhi’s Raebareli seat. Added here, Priyanka kept herself out of active politics but used to campaign for her brother and mother from Amethi and Raebareli Lok Sabha constituencies respectively.  The party is banking on Gandhi’s popularity among the voters and veterans and her entry will energize the party cadres.

Since most of the states are offering Priyanka Gandhi to contest the Lok Sabha elections, Parminder Singh Pinki said, it is our earnest desire that Priyanka Gandhi should contest from Ferozepur.  We will send the copy of the resolution to Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.  It will be for her to decide as to from where state or station she would contest as she is getting offers to contest from almost all over India.

Pinki said, it is our unanimous decision that Priyanka should contest from Ferozepur and we will achieve a big victory.
