Ferozepur, September 16, 2015: Economy of Punjab is badly affected. Don’t have money to pay the wages. Not able to pay the interest of the loan. Today Punjab is facing destruction on all fronts. Industry of Punjab is also at the verge of closure. The leaders of present government are busy in setting up their existence in every sector. Thousands of illegal buses are plying on prime routes instead of Punjab Roadways. All this was expressed by senior Congress leader Capt Amrinder Singh former Chief Minister Punjab at the residence of Parminder Singh Pinki, Congress MLA Ferozepur.
In the presence of Chamkaur Singh Dhindsa, District Congress President, Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi, MLA Guruharsahai, Hans Raj Jossan, Harpreet Singh Hero, Rajinder Chhabra, Harish Jain Goga, Kamal Talwandi, Amarjit Singh Gharu and Amarjit Kaur Gill and others, Capt said, the development work in Punjab for which the Akali-BJP leaders are boosting could be measured from the few days back survey conducted in Punjab which has gone down more by three points. Talking about the development – in the absence of irregular power supply to industry and insecure feeling of people from social security point of view – looks to be mockery.
Not only are this, the financial assistance to the people of state on account of old age and widow pension, shagun scheme being released late for number of months. The Atta-dal scheme is totally flopped. The inflation has disturbed the budget of poor families making it difficult to make both ends meet.
When we left the government, Punjab had loan of Rs.50,000 crore which has now increased to Rs.125 crore during the tenure of Akali government, he added.
Capt said, all the false cases registered against the Congress workers by the Akali-BJP government will be cancelled on coming in power of Congress government and the officers who have registered the cases will not be spared.
He confidently claimed that during 2017, Congress will come in power in Punjab with majority.
Talking about the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Capt Amrinder Singh said, this party don’t have political experience. Its leaders are backing out from the promises made in Delhi. The internal dispute of the party stands exposed and lost its base among the common man. Referring to Kejriwal, he is resident of Haryana, Chief Minister of Delhi and as to how he can represent Punjab politically.
Touching the health services, Capt said, today the health system of Punjab itself looks to be on ventilator. Various health projects like PGI Satellite Centre in Ferozepur for which Rs.250 crore have already been received, are hanging in the air. In case the land for the project is not provided by Akali-BJP government, we ensure to complete this prestigious project of the border town on priority on coming into power.
