Congress ex-MLA Kulbir Singh Zira booked for obstructing office work
Ferozepur, October 13, 2023: An FIR has been registered against District Congress President and former Congress MLA of Punjab Kulbir Singh Zira along with 70-80 unidentified persons. He is reported to have joined the protest by the Sarpanchs against the government going on for the last three days against the excesses of the government.
The case has been registered on the complaint of Block Development and Panchayat Officer (BDPO) under various Sections 341, 186,268 and 149 of IPC 1860 for obstructing the public servant in the district of his duties.
In the FIR, it is stated that Kulbir Singh Zira and his accomplice illegally entered the office and occupied during office hours and government record can be tampered with in any way which can cause a lot of damage to the office.
On the other hand, Kulbir Singh Zira has welcomed the registration of case against him stating that instead of taking action against the government officials, a case has been registered against him. He will surrender before the police on October 17 on the day of Sangrand after paying obeisance at Baba Budha Sahib and holding the press conference.
