Ferozepur, September 6, 2020: Computer Science Team -CST, Punjab did a commendable job by conducting the online computer education assessment to students studying from 6th to 12th standard during lockdown and finds a place in India Book of Records and Asia Book of Records.
Computer Science Team Punjab Core Committee Member, Inderjeet Singh Kalsi from Ferozepur, . Younis Khokhar from NawaSaher, Mohammad Arif from Sangrur, Mrs. Navjot Kaur from Sangrur, Mrs. Sarabjit Kaur from Mansa and Mrs. Hardeep Kaur from Bathinda contributed to this historic victory. The dedicated team has created a new history in the field of education and find a place in the Indian Book of Records and the Asia Book of Records.
The world is under the grip of the Covid-19 and all educational institutions have been closed since March 24. But teachers are still working to continue teaching. In these circumstances, teachers have been able to continue the work of education uninterrupted and the most recent example of which was given by computer science team, Punjab.
Giving this information, Inderjit Singh Kalsi, Computer Teacher said that online test was made available to all for the next 48 hours from 30/05/2020 to 31/05/2020 at midnight. This test was prepared in class VI to XII and all computer faculty were distributed to share further with the students. Students from all classes took this test very seriously. In 48 hours the total, participation reached 4,78,295 students. He was pleased to inform that all the participants had cleared the test. This record is the largest and most unique record ever recorded by a computer teacher and has illuminated the name of the province in the world.
Divulging more, he said, Computer Science Team, Punjab was formed by computer teacher to lead the entire cadre in providing online computer education assessment to students studying from 6th to 12th standard during lockdown. In a very short time, the team formed a strong network by including all computer faculties working in different schools in Punjab. The team encouraged this entire computer faculty to provide online classes and study materials for class 6 to class 12 through WhatsApp class groups or any other available online mode. The team paid great attention to the teaching material as well as their assessment and tried to inspire students daily in the form of poster videos. These videos posters created a lot of curiosity and attraction among the students.
