Commissioner Ferozepur Division releases poster of ‘16th Mohan Lal Bhaskar Art and Theatre Festival’
Ferozepur, November 6, 2020: Poster of the 16th Mohan Lal Bhaskar Art and Theatre Festival organized by Mohan Lal Bhaskar Education Society and Foundation for the last several years in mark of respect of the elderly in the society, was released by Sumer Singh Gurjar (IAS) Divisional Commissioner, Ferozepur Division on Friday.
Giving information, the Deputy Head of the Foundation, HK Gupta told that the 16th Art and Theatre Festival will be inaugurated by the commencement of cricket tournament, in which 8 different teams will perform in cricket matches from November 8 to November 22. After that photography and public speaking – online competition – will start from 10 November with 16th November as the last date of registration.
Moving further, on 21 November along with Elders Day, a Blood donation camp will be organized in memory of former SSP , Ferozepur Manminder Singh. The festival will culminate with “ All India Mushaira” on 29 November, in which famous poets of India will paint the color of their poetry. This time Mushaira will be organized as a virtual Mushaira keeping Covid pandemic in view and moreover ration will be distributed to poor and widowed women on 30th November.
It is worth mentioning here that the late Shri Mohan Lal Bhaskar, serving the country of India, spent six years of imprisonment in Pakistan. Facing a variety of difficulties on economic, mental and social status on return, he established “Manav Mandir School” with the aim of imparting the highest education to the backward and poor sections of the society in 1983. He has written an autobiography named ‘Spy of India in Pakistan’, which has been honoured with the President’s Award in 1989 along with being published in 10 languages.
Giving information, Dr. S.N Rudra said that Mohan Lal Bhaskar Education Society and Foundation was established under the leadership of Mrs. Prabha Bhaskar with the objective of keeping the memory of late Shri Mohan Lal Bhaskar always fresh and to mark the respect of the elders of the society.
General Secretary of the Foundation, Gaurav Sagar Bhaskar said that for the last 16 years, Mohan Lal Bhaskar Educational Society and Foundation distributed ration to poor and widows in the society, free medical camp, blood donation camp and All India Mushaira is being organized to keep its great culture and art connected.
On the poster release, Prof. Gurtej Koharwala, Shalinder Bhalla, Dr. S.N. Rudra, Sardar Santokh Singh, Sardar Amarjeet Singh Bhogal, Navdeep Singh, Sapan Vats were present.
