CI team nabbed two persons while making deal of heroin, one managed to escape
Ferozepur, August 31, 2017: Counter-Intelligence Team under the supervision of Nrinderpal Singh Sidhu, AIG, CI confirmed the arrest of two persons when they were making a deal of sale and purchase while the third one managed to escape.
He said, on a tip-off about the deal of heroin at Udham Singh Chowk, team led by ASI Jatinderjit Singh nabbed Gagandeep Singh of Chak Balochan Mahalam along with Hero CD Delux black color motor cycle bearing No.PB-05-Y-1023, Gurdev Singh alias Deepu of Malla Megha while Lakhwinder Singh alias Bittu of Palla Megha managed to escape from the spot.
The team head said, Lakhwinder Singh alias Bittu had a deal with Gagandeep Singh to provide him 45 gm heroin for Rs.1 lac. Gurdev Singh is the tout of accused Lakhwinder Singh, who was showing a sample 5 gm heroin to Gagandeep Singh and 40 gm was with Lakwinder Singh who escaped from the scene.
The recovery of 5 gm heroin and Rs.1 lac drug money and one motorcycle was recovered from them and a case under Sections 21, 25, 29, 61 and 85 of NDPS Act has been at Ferozepur City Police station and investigation into the case is on.
