Change the direction of your donations, says Dhaliwal, Global Ambassador World  Cancer

Ferozepur, November 27, 2017:  A video of Kulwant Singh Dhaliwal, Global Ambassador World Cancer  has gone viral in the social media with a very good message – Change the direction of your donations.

I could not resist from penning down to create awareness among the people of Punjab to adopt the right direction your donations.

Dhailwal – popularly known as Cancerwala – who hails from Rau Ke village in Moga district in Punjab and settled in England has started ‘Roko Cancer’ movement in Punjab.  He is very much concerned about the alarmingly increasing rate of cancer which is likely to be 1.5 crore cases in the world by 2020.

 said, cancer has increased in the world to the extent of 21.7% and daily 980 cases of cancer are detected daily out of 7 crore population.

Punjab is a world cancer capital as there are maximum 43 deaths daily in Punjab due to cancer and 36 are ladies out of it.

He said, cancer at the early stage is curable but don’t go after the fake advertisements of ‘tantrik’, babas for its early cure rather their treatments takes you to the last stage.

No such ads or news are allowed for publication in the newspapers in the foreign. Early detection and prevention is the only treatment for a cancer patient. Prevention is better than cure. Breastfeeding is must to avoid cancer as we are going against nature.

Every fourth person is diabetic and we are still sticking to jalebis – a sweet dish – in our langars – community food. There is a need of langars of medicines instead of lavishly spending of langars. Speaking about the statistics, he says, there are 107 persons of cancer in Malwa region whereas normally it is one out of one lac population. I was surprised to know that the people go for treatment to Ganganagar by train which is known as Cancer Train.

The main and crucial point is now to change the direction of your donation.  He appealed to the Punjabis settled on foreign lands to adopt their village to provide safe drinking water and donate for the opening of dispensaries to provide better health services.

There are 12783 villages in Punjab state and around 8200 villages have been brought under check-up of cancer by providing the mobile vans from England free of cost. Move the direction of your donation to your villages in Punjab for clean water, education and health as we have made enough donation for the fourth one indicating towards the religious purposes.

He made it clear that he is not against the Guru teachings. Guru Arjan Dev had opened Dawakhana say five centuries back and we have forgotten the tradition.  We have increased the number of religious places and not opened a single health centre. Service to humanity is above all of our actions

Giving the tips for preventive measures, Dhaliwal said, we are opening the research centre in Jalandhar next year. Try to adopt a poor cancer patient, both will have a feeling of happiness.
