CBI held two MES officials red-handed for accepting a bribe

Ferozepur, April 21, 2017 : On Thursday, the officials of the CBI today raided Military Engineering Service (MES) office in the cantonment area here and nabbed red-handed a senior official and a lower desk clerk for allegedly accepting a bribe, on the complaint of a CPWD contractor.

As per the information, the CBI team arrived in the afternoon and remained in the Commander Works Engineer’s office till late in the evening.

There was no official statement from CBI officials and any confirmation from the officials but the sources said, an official of the rank of Deputy Commander along with a clerk were nabbed and Rs 15,000 was recovered from their possession which they took as a bribe for sanctioning some long-pending bills.
