The residents Suresh Kumar, Ashwani Kumar, Rajinder Singh, Manjit Singh, Paramjit Kaur, Alka Jain, Sonia Jaiswal, Baljit Singh, Vikrant, Kuldip Singh and Rajan said that one side the cantonment board officials are claiming about various development works and “Smart Cantonment” but the reality is far different. “one can well imagine that if we are not getting good quality potable water, what kind of development will be taking place. The quality of the water which is being provided is so poor that even the insects can be seen in the water”, said Rajinder Singh, a resident of Ward No. Three.
The residents demanded that if cantonment board officials failed to resolve this issue, they will hold a protest in front of Cantonment Board Office. Meanwhile, when contacted, the cantonment board officials assured that this problem will be fixed very soon.
