BSF seizes heroin from Indo-Pak border
Ferozepur, November 26, 2017: The constant vigil of BSF jawans at the international border has thwarted the attempt of the smugglers to pass on the consignment supplies to the smugglers in the Indian Territory. The sleuths of BSF have seized 2.533 kg suspected to be heroin in the area of border area post – BOP Dona Delu Mal.
Giving this information, DIG Rajpurohit said, the BSF jawans had got a tip-off that some Pak smugglers are likely to dispatch the heroin consignment on getting the opportunity, in BOP Dona Telu Mal-area.
He further said, the BSF jawans started keeping a close eye on the suspicious farmers and common man of the area and when the search operation was carried out today morning, 2.5 kg suspected to be heroin was found having the value of Rs.12 crore in the international market.
DIG said, during the winter season, the smugglers of both the countries in coordination do the smuggling of heroin but the constant vigil of BSF jawans had thwarted their attempt.
