BSF seizes 2 kg heroin in Ferozepur
Ferzepur, February 8, 2020: On 08 Feb 2020 alert Border Security Force troops seized 2 packets of contraband (Weight Approx- 2 kgs) suspected to be heroin in the area of responsibility of Ferozepur Sector.
On 08 Feb 2020, on duty BSF troops heard some suspicious/throwing sound and got alerted but could not be observed due to dense Fog in the area. Later, during search 2 packets of contraband suspected to be heroin (Total weight approx. 2 Kgs) were recovered from the spot.
Vigilant troops of Border Security Force once again thwarted the attempt of Anti-National Elements to push the consignment of contraband items into India.
During the year 2020, BSF has effected under mentioned seizures on Punjab Border – Heroin : 58.075 Kgs (including today’s seizure of approx. 02 Kgs) Indian Border Crosser Apprehended : 18 Pak Intruder : 01 Weapon (Different Types) : 02 No. Magazine (Different Types) : 04 No. Ammunition (Various Calibers) : 106 Rds Pak Mobile Phone : 01 Pak SIM Card : 02 Pak Mobile Router (Jazz Communication) : 01 Foreign Currency : 84 US Dollar Notes (50 Dollars each)
