BSF seizes 2.435 kg worth Rs.12 cr heroin, arms and ammunition from near Indo-Pak Punjab border
Ferozepur, October 20, 2020: On Tuesday, the alert Border Security Force troops seized 03 Packets of contraband (approx. – 2.435 Kgs), worth Rs.12 crore in the international market, suspected to be heroin alongwith 01 Pistol (Turkey made), 01 Magazine and 04 Rounds in the area of responsibility of 116 Bn BSF, Ferozepur Sector.
Vigilant troops of Border Security Force once again thwarted the attempt of Anti-National Elements to push the consignment of contraband items into India.
During the year 2020, BSF has effected seizures on Punjab Border as – Heroin : 453.917 Kgs (including today’s seizure), Indian Border Crosser Apprehended : 93 Nos, Pak Intruder : 10 Nos, Weapon (Different Types) : 32 Nos, Magazine(Different Types) : 57 Nos, Ammunition(Various Calibres) : 650 Rds, Pak Mobile Phone : 06 Nos, Pak SIM Card : 10 Nos.
