BSF organizes Civil Action Programme at Ferozepur Sector
Ferozepur, December 29, 2021: The Civic Action programme and Free Medical Camp for the bordering villages was organized, on Wednesday, by 116 Bn BSF under Ferozepur Sector, where free health check-up and medicines were provided to the bordering villagers.
Devinder Singh IAS, DC Ferozepur honoured the function as Chief Guest. Ish Aul, Comdt(Ops), Offg DIG SHQ BSF Ferozepur alongwith Om Prakash, Comdt 116 Bn BSF and other officers welcomed the Chief Guest.
During the programme, 22 local youths were presented professional kit bag containing items related to electrician and carpentry works.
These 22 local youth of bordering Village – Basti Ramlal and surrounding villages were imparted training in Electrician and Carpentry trade for 4 weeks by 116 Bn BSF and after successful trade training, these local youths have been presented their respective kit related to carpentry and electrical job, which will help them in earning livelihood for their family. Chief Guest praised the efforts of BSF providing free medical camp and especially the trade training for the local youth, which will prove fruitful in earning jobs. This overall event has been planned by Om Prakash, Comdt 116 Bn under Civic Action Programme.
Ish Aul Comdt(Ops), Offg DIG BSF Ferozepur was also present throughout the event, witnessed the programme and praised th efforts of BSF.
Volleyball match was also organized between BSF and local youth of bordering illages – Wakha and Mast-Ke to enhance bonding and coordination. More than 100 civilians, Sarpanch and other dignitaries witnessed the game and praised the efforts of BSF. A cultural team of 116 Bn BSF presented musical events for villagers, which has been applauded by one and all.
