Breaking News: Fire in Controversial Zira Liquor Factory
Ferozepur, May 17, 2024: A fire in Zira Liquor Factory – for which the Sanjha Morcha has been protesting for the last 2 years for its permanent closure – has been reported meanwhile the fire brigade vehicles have reached and are trying to control it when certain district administration officials have also reached there.
Roman Brar, farmer leader of Sanjha Morcha from Zira said, the fire and smoking coming out is seen from some some rooms and open areas where the factory residue was being dumped. We feel that it might be to destroy the evidence of violation of the pollution norms.
He demanded an official investigation to find the reasons behind it fire. Earlier, the Sanjha Morcha also demanded the permanent closure of the factory as announced by the Chief Minister, of Punjab.
