BJP raises questions over 6-months Congress rule in Punjab

Ferozepur, September 16, 2017:  With the completion of six-months tenure of Congress rule in Punjab after getting a clear majority by getting with 76 seats in the 117-member Assembly and the then ruling party SAD led by Parkash Singh Badal – faced a humiliating defeat, it is now their – BJP’s – turn to review the six months performance of the Captain government.

BJP leaders and workers put up a dharna led by Davinder Bajaj, District President, BJP,  in front of the office of the Deputy Commissioner today accusing the Congress government failure on every front.

Addressing the protest rally organized by the BJP today, Devinder Bajaj Counting the failures of the Congress government said, the government has failed to waive the famrers’ loan, no jobs for the unemployed youths, halting of all developments works besides the sand mafia and drug mafia are active in Punjab and false cases are being registered on the SAD-BJP workers out of vendetta.

He further said, the payments in the other welfare schemes – old age pension and shagan schemes are also held up what to say of fulfilling of smartphone promises made at the time of election.

Addressing the protest rally, BJP Punjab Kisan Morcha President Sukhpal Singh Nannu said that no new project has so far been undertaken and the government of SAD-BJP government in Punjab had started the development work which was have not been followed by the Captain government.  There was no law and order like situation in the state, he added.

He demanded from the Captain government to honour the promises made with the people of Punjab before coming to power otherwise the SAD-BJP together will fight against the Captain Government.

On the other hand, Capt Amarinder Singh has stated that six months time is not sufficient to wipe out 10-year legacy of devastation by SAD-BJP government.
