BJP organizes thanksgiving Road Show in Ferozepur – Backdoor entry of Independent candidates only after due consideration from all angles

Ferozepur, February 26: In post-MC Polls press conference after getting a lion’s share of seats by BJP-SAD alliance in Punjab, Kamal Sharma, Punjab BJP President said, there is an opportunity now for us to perform.
Jugraj Singh Katora, District BJP President, J.B.Chandan and Dharam Pal Bansal, BJP leaders and others were also also.
It may be added that out of total 31 wards BJP-Akali alliance has won 23 seats, Congress 2 and Independent candidates three seats. The results of two wards were already decaled being unopposed one each in favour of BJP and SAD. However, during the last term, SAD had won 4,BJP 12,Congress 5and others 4 in 25 wards.
In a thanksgiving party, the winning MCs, BJP leaders and mammoth gathering of workers was present.
Speaking to the media persons, Kamal Sharma said, From the favourable results, it looks that the people of Punjab are fully satisfied from the BJP-SAD policies and works.
Levelling charges on Congress party, Kamal Sharma said, Congress party has confined to cheap rivalry and statements with the result, the people have lost faith in the party.
In reply to the question, he said, there is no equation between the Congress leaders – Capt Amrinder Singh, Partap Singh Bajwa and Bibi Bhattal and confined to the drawing room politics.
He said, the Congress party even could not get the suitable candidates to filed in various wards during the MC Polls and have compelled to certain candidates to fill up the nominations. Later on certain candidates have withdrawn their nominations.
He further said, the lion’s share in MC Polls have boosted the morale of the party and it is now our turn to get an opportunity towards development of the state as per the expectations of the people.
Sharma said confidently that where the candidates have to face defeat during Punjab Assembly Elections, now during the MC Polls Akali-BJP candidates have won.
We will sort-out differences if any between SAD-BJP candidates amicably cropped up during these elections and will perform better jointly during the coming 2 years.
In reply to another question, Kamal Sharma said, we will elect the President and Vice President of the Municipal Council with mutual understanding but will allow the back entry of Independent candidates who have won during these polls only after due consideration from all angles.
