BJP Distt President reacts to Sam Pitroda’s Inheritance tax remark
Ferozepur, April 24, 2024: District BJP President, Shamsher Singh Kakad, reacted to Sam Pitroda’s – Chairman of Indian Overseas Congress – said to be the political Guru of Rahul Gandhi, statement on inheritance tax remarks, by holding a press conference at the residence of former CPS Sukhpal Singh Nannu. The remarks of Sam Pitroda had provided Prime Minister Modi more opportunity to attack the grand old party amid the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
A video of Sam Pitroda surfaced on social media on Wednesday where he talked about inheritance tax in America. The video triggered an outrage with the members of the ruling party attacking the Congress and alleging that it had decided to destroy India. On the other hand, a day after the chairman of the Indian Overseas Congress Sam Pitroda was on the receiving end over his comments regarding the US inheritance tax, he issued a clarification saying that his statements were twisted and had nothing to do with the Congress party or their manifesto for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
Shamsher Singh Kakad said, the BJP is a party of good-standing leaders and they commit only to what they can do and don’t give irrelevant statements like Congress. Unfortunately, Congress will impose inheritance tax on properties left for the children by their parents as is prevalent in America probably on 45:55 ratios to children and grabbing by the government.
Lashing out over the inheritance tax statement by a senior overseas leader, DP Chandan, a senior BJP leader also said, such issues would lead to the destruction of India. It is a conspiracy of Congress to add in its manifesto that on coming to power, we will do a reassessment of the property and work on the ideology of pleasing the particular category. We condemn it and people will make Congress suffer the consequences in the time to come.
Present among others on this occasion were – former Cabinet rank State Minister DP Chandan, Mohit Dhall, District Vice President BJP, Ashwani Dhingra, Sarabjit Singh Bobby Bath, Kishore former MC, Ashok Burji, Diljit Khurmi, Dr Amrinder Singh Farmah, Balkar Dhillon General Secretary, Kissan Morcha, Baljit Singh and others.
