BJP Councilor’s son booked for firing in Ferozepur

Ferozepur, January 17, 2017: The son of lady BJP councillor from ward No. 7 has been booked for opening a fire at a person on Sunday night. The victim has been seriously injured and had been referred to GGS Medical College and Hospital, Faridkot.

A case has been registered at City police on the statement of the complainant. As per information, complainant Vikramjeet had been running a welding shop at Bansi gate and there was a dispute related to shop with the family of Prem Rani who is a BJP councilor. 

According to the victim on Sunday night a person came to his house and said him that he has brought medicine for his father. As he was returning in, the person shot at him and the bullet hit his arm. After hearing his cries neighbours came out and the accused fled from the spot with his accomplices.

He was admitted to the Civil Hospital from where he from where he was referred to Medical College Faridkot in view of serious condition of the patient.

However, the accused Monty denied the charges and said that he had already deposited his weapon at Police Station on January 10, as per EC instructions.
