Anti-narcotics Cell nabbed 2 with opium, mobiles, cash in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, June 7, 2018: The anti-narcotics cell of Punjab Police recovered 3.5 kg opium on Wednesday and nabbed two drug peddlers with the recovery of mobiles and cash.
Earlier also the Punjab Police had seized 13.5 kg heroin during an operation near the India-Pakistan border two days ago.
As per the crime report released today, a case under Sections 18/2/61/85 of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances – NDPS Act has been registered at Sadar police station Zira, against the two identified peddlers – Baldev Singh of village Santuwala and Gurjeshwar Singh of Desu Mahjr Kharar.
The accused were nabbed on specific inputs while they were travelling in a car.
The police recovered 2.6 kg opium from Baldev Singh along with a mobile and Rs.69,000 cash. Besides 900 gm opium along with mobile phone was recovered from the other accused, Gurdeshwar Singh.
