AAP will take people-friendly decision on coming to power in Punjab too : Samarbir Singh
Ferozepur, January 7, 2017: In what may become one of the most progressive policies to promote road safety, the Aam Aadmi Party’s government in Delhi has taken a historical decision to approve the ‘Good Samaritan Policy’ under which Rs.2,000 and an appreciation certificate to be given to a person or authorichshaw drives who take road accident and trauma victim to a hospital.
Samarbir Singh – a candidate of AAP from Fazilka constituency said the scheme is intended to encourage people to take accident victims to a hospital.
The decision has been taken in view of the fact that in certain cases after a road accident victim bled to death because no one comes forward to help at that time, he added.
He further said the decision will help to save the life of number of people in road accidents.
Added here, in India, 1.41 lakh deaths occurred in accidents during 2014 and the maximum fatalities were reported on Delhi’s roads with 2199 deaths during the year according to the National Crime Records Bureau.
AAP candidate from Fazilka Samarbir Singh said normally in the road accident none dare to take the accident victim to the hospital because of later on legal problems and the decision of AAP government is appreciable.
He said the AAP is a bunch of beautiful flowers which has been decorated by the common men and on coming to power in Punjab the party will take number people-friendly decisions as all previous governments have looted the people of Punjab.
