A.K.Puthia, GM Northern Railway inaugurated “Route Relay Interlocking” in Ferozepur

Ferozepur-Chandigarh & Ferozepur-Patti railway track likely to start by 31st March

GM NR AK PUTHIA IN FEROZEPUR

Ferozepur, February 5:  The General Manager, Northern Railway, A.K.Puthia today inaugurated Route Relay Interlocking project during his short visit to Ferozepur.  He, however, assured that Ferozepur-Chandigarh and Ferozepur-Patti railway track project would start by the end of March.

As per the information, General Manager, Puthia had reached Ferozepur late night after inspection of Paathankot and Jalalabad stations.

On this occasioh, he was accompanied by CCM Ashok Kumar, Divisional Engineer (Civil) A.Talwar, Divisional Signal Technology Engineer I.Khan,  CSTE Akhil Aggarwal  while DRM Ferozepurn Naresh Chand Goyal, DCM Tarflok Singh,, ADRM Mahavir Singh and HOD of various departments.

Puthia said, the Route Relay Interlocking system to be constructed at a cost of Rs.10 crore is having ultra modern technique which will help in changing the tracks easily besides speed up in the work.  The system will be benefited through the walkie-talkie and a message can be conveyed to the driver at any place.

In reply to the question, GM said, the drawing work on the project has been started and the working on the project will start shortly.

While asking about the Ferozepur-Chandigarh, he said, the train will restart by 31st March.  He also said, the work on Food Plaza has also been completed and its contract will also be given shortly.
