NCPCR to redress grievances of children during camp on Nov 26
MOGA, November 15, 2019: To redress the grievances of the children of 0 to 18 years of age, a panel from National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) to hold a camp at Meeting Hall of Deputy Commissioner at District Administrative Complex (DAC) Moga on November 26 from 9 am onwards.
Divulging the details, Deputy Commissioner Moga Sandeep Hans said that children or the guardians on the behalf of children having any issues can pre-register their complaints at the District Child Protection Office (DCPO) that will be put during the camp. He also directed officials to ensure maximum participation of children to come at a camp to raise their respective issues.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC Development) Subash Chandar on Friday, also held a preparatory meeting with the concerned officials and asked them to spread maximum awareness about this camp that maximum children could take benefit of the camp. ADC also directed to paste notices and distribute pamphlets carrying information about rights of the children in villages, schools, anganwadis, hostels, government offices and other prominent places of the district. He also directed officials to involve Non-Government Organisations (NGOs) that they can also bring children in the camp.
ADC Subash Chandar said that apart issues like child labour, vagrancy, truancy, begging, orphan and destitute, children can take up any kind of matter before the panel and the grievance will be resolved on the spot.
During the meeting, District Programme Officer (DPO) Gurcharan Singh, District Child Protection Officer (DCPO) Paramjit Kaur, District Welfare Officer Harpal Singh Gill, District Development and Panchayat Officer (DDPO) Jagtar Singh Sidhu among other officials were present.
